Very interesting data Tom.
At the risk of being controversial - could it be that 41% of marketers think CM is ineffective because they are not very good at it?
Trashing the medium you're least confident in is a classic diversion tactic.
My own view is that CM is possibly the most critical component of the modern marketing mix for B2B tech marketers - however I might be tempted to downplay that if I wasn't confident executing it...
